Eco-sustainable project with zero environmental impact
Aquarelle has been at the forefront of the production of eco-sustainable swimwear for many years, so that these products can be in perfect harmony with the sea.
Our company, based in Novedrate, uses only recycled fabrics made with old fishing nets collected from the ocean, carpet fluff and old plastic bottles.
The commitment and respect for the environment, combined with quality and research, make all our garments unique.
Made in Italy production respecting the environment and people
Our production of eco-sustainable swimwear is carried out within the company and involves neighboring companies only for the supply of materials for the packaging of the product.
All the recycled fabric comes from within a 100 kilometer radius of the company; we also do not use national and international air freight in any of our production processes.
All our items are handmade with Italian fabrics and our workers are paid fairly, respecting their commitment and their passion.
Production curiosity
- our production uses energy from renewable sources, saving 300,000 kwh per year;
- 95% of the waste is reused again, preventing 154 garbage trucks from delivering waste to landfills;
- 35% of the waste water is recycled and reused.
To produce eco-sustainable swimwear we rely on 75 volunteers and 650 fishing boats that collect waste directly from the oceans. In 2017 they collected 375 tons of fishing nets!
